The Hervey Bay Day Care & Respite Centre is located at 11 Fairway Drive, Urraween.

Much of our ageing and disabled population relies on family members and friends to support and care for them. We recognise that there is an increasing need for carers to receive some well earned respite. Our Respite Centre gives carers much needed ‘time out’ whilst their loved one is looked after by friendly, professional health care workers.

While carers have respite time, the people they care for can enjoy:

• Morning tea [see some examples on our gallery page]
• 2 course Lunch is provided. Consideration is given to special dietary needs and staff are available to provide full assistance if required.
• Social, leisure and lifestyle activities
• A range of fun indoor activities and games
• Self development programs to help people achieve goals or learn new skills
• Physical health promotion including walking groups and activities
• Fun and beneficial exercise programs
